Ms. Yovanthi Anurangi Jayasinghe is the Director of the Centre for Evidence Synthesis and Implementation Research at Cephas Health Research Initiative Inc. She is also a biomedical and public health researcher with a growing international profile in molecular cancer biology and evidence synthesis. She is a UK- and Sri Lanka–trained biomedical scientist, holding a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Science (First Class Honours) from Northumbria University, UK, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Molecular Life Sciences from the Institute of Biology, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IBMBB), University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. She is currently an MSc candidate in Global Health and Human Development at O.P. Jindal Global University, India.

Ms. Jayasinghe has developed a multidisciplinary research portfolio that integrates molecular cancer biology and public health perspectives, with particular focus on oral cancer, oral potentially malignant disorders, and health systems research. As a Research Assistant at the Department of Oral Medicine & Periodontology, Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, she has contributed to numerous studies addressing oral health promotion and health policy during crisis contexts. In recognition of her growing research leadership, she was appointed Adjunct Research Fellow at the University of Puthisastra, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in August 2025. She has also been a Member of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH), United Kingdom, since April 2025, further reflecting her international recognition and commitment to advancing global health research.

Ms. Jayasinghe has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and has served as the lead author on multiple evidence-synthesis studies published in high-impact Q1 and Q2 journals such as The Lancet, BMJ Global Health, Health Science Reports, BMC Public Health, BMC Oral Health, Cancer Reports, F1000Research, and MDPI journals (Clinics and Practice, Businesses, Oral). Her work has accumulated over 100 citations and an H-index of 6 (Google Scholar) within a short span. Her scholarly contributions extend beyond authorship where she also serves as a peer reviewer for several international journals, including BMC Oral Health and Health Science Reports, demonstrating her commitment to research quality and academic integrity.

She has actively engaged in international research collaborations, including her ongoing role as a Collaborator and later Senior Collaborator in the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Study at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), University of Washington, USA, where she has contributed to several Lancet group publications. Ms. Jayasinghe’s research has been presented at numerous international conferences, including the FDI World Dental Congress (Turkey, 2024) and the Peradeniya University International Research Sessions (iPURSE 2023 and 2025). Notably, two of her abstracts presented at the FDI World Dental Congress were published in the International Dental Journal (Volume 74). She also served as a member of the Organizing Committee for the International Conference on the Sustainable Development of Marine Bio-Resources (ICSDMBR, 2025), reflecting her active engagement in scientific leadership and capacity-building.

In recognition of her outstanding research impact, one of her Q1 journal publications (2024) was awarded at iPURSE 2025 and had previously received media coverage in a prestigious Sri Lankan newspaper—The Sunday Observer—for its contribution to improving oral health awareness through social media among Sri Lankan Adults. Her academic journey reflects a sustained commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research that bridges molecular science and public health to drive real-world impact aligning with her vision to strengthen evidence-informed healthcare and promote equitable global health outcomes.
